The course is mostly practical, with lots of opportunities for stimulating and creative experiences in activities related to Art and Design. Express critical opinion about art. This course fosters creativity, personal growth, self-confidence, analytical skills as well as exercising the imagination. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the subject as a performer, deviser and director. It also provides you with the opportunity to attend professional and community performances where you will develop your skills as informed and thoughtful audience members. You will create your own work within a group and perform it in front of your peers as well as study plays by other dramatists and have the opportunity to evaluate the work.

What will I need?
Correct stationery in lessons. The willingness to participate in various theatrical visits outside school hours and to contribute towards their cost.
How will I be assessed?
All units cater for the full range of ability and allow access to grades A*-G. There will be ONE devised practical exam assessed internally and the SECOND practical exam from a specific text will be assessed externally. The WRITTEN exam is 1½ hours on analysing one set text as an actor and then to evaluate a live performance you have seen.
